The detox plan is not a quick-fix diet that you stick to for a while only to lapse back to old ways. The aim of this diet is to adapt the principles of the detox diet to your long-term eating habits.
So what are we eating today lovelies?
Hot pasta and vegetables
Brown rice and sweet corn salad
Detox Tip♥♥♥: Be adventurous and try out new ingredients like millet.
Mangoes are rich in cancer-fighting beta-carotene and are terrific immune system boosters. One drink provides more than your daily requirement of beta-carotene
Ingredients (Makes 2 drinks)
2 medium sized mangoes
300 ml almond milk
Blend all the ingredients together and drink immediately
HOT PASTA WITH VEGETABLES
Ingredients (Makes 2 servings)
2 tbsp. olive oil
450g vegetables of your choice
Cook the pasta in plenty of boiling water, if you prefer stir fry use the method to prepare the vegetables.
If however you prefer your vegetable cooked i.e. Jollof Spaghetti ♥ add them during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
You can also try my fav method, while the pasta is hot, combine the pasta with the olive oil and raw vegetables, grate a little…just a little bit of cheese and munch away. Yummy (who’s gonna teach me how to use smileys on word press)
BROWN RICE AND SWEETCORN SALAD
Ingredients (makes 2 servings)
180 g rice
2 spring onions, chopped
2 red peppers, chopped
Raisin (dry fruits, that stuff you bake your fruit cake with)
120 g sweet corn
Toasted almonds (optional)
Cook the rice. Drain if necessary, rinse in cold water and drain again.
Place in a large bowl and combine with the remaining ingredients.
Bon appetit ♥♥♥
